Can I be mod?

Lots of new people ask "Can I get mod?"

So to avoid a whole lot of misunderstanding and effort, I've put it here:

We need to know you; and it takes time to build good rapport. Please don't apply if you haven't already been around the community for a long time.

More precise requirements:

• Longtime experience playing Minecraft

• Robust social skills, even/especially when dealing with difficult players

• Scrupulous record of adherence to the rules

• Willing to give up survival gameplay (in some cases) in exchange for spectator perms

• Take the Moderator Quiz

• Survive the initiation ceremony
